    Irritable

Thanks Qaterra! I feel better. The gal at the dr office hasn't called back yet. I know I CAN do this. It's all a mind thing. I've spent most of my day outside in this lovely weather we're having. I just wish my brain would feel my logic instead of nerves. I am learning that I am not a patient...

    Irritable

Thank you for the encouragement. I barely slept last night and had thoughts on calling it all off! I am going to call the dr office as I remember something about overlooked veggies? I think. I didn't receive a handout on this part of the diet. Oh the salt craving is gone, now it's starch. I...

    Got the Date!!

Wow! That's quite a dilemma. I'd say its only another week, but I'm going crazy myself anticipating my date that was put off just 1 week! Hard decision for you. From what I've read you might not feel too hot, everyone is different and you really don't know what it will be like for you. I think...

    Jay Robb protein powder

It's the whey protein. I didn't even look at the egg white one. My friend told me about them. Her husband swears by it. I'll have to ask about them. I go to the doc and nutritionist next week.

    Tomorrow is my Psych Eval...

So how did it go Brandy? I was real nervous myself, stupid nervous. It wasn't at all what I expected and took 4 hours, 3 of questionnaires. I hope it all went well! Good luck on your new journey.

    Jay Robb protein powder

Has anyone tried these? I love them. They not only taste well, for 110 calories you get, 25 grams of protein, 1 carb, 0 fat and 0 sugar. It's sweetened with stevia. I have been adding almond milk to the chocolate so it's 150 calories for the meal. I bought it at the vitamin shop, it's not cheap...

    YOUR Tool Box/Starter Kit?

I too am "nesting" for this and love reading all of the info. I read somewhere lip balm. I had my endoscopy last week and my mouth and lips were so dry that my lips stuck to my teeth! Made my friend crazy. So when I saw lip balm, I laughed and thought it was a good idea.

    Irritable

I started my pre-surgery liquid diet the other day and am having a rough time. I crave salt for some odd reason. I just went and bought bullion cubes. For some reason warm liquids are more satisfying. I also am noticing that I'm on edge. I don't know if its nerves about the surgery, pms, or not...

    Having trouble losing weight

Thanks! I had 3 c-sections. I know how moving around helps. It was a long time ago, my youngest is almost 24. And I weigh 120lbs more than my heaviest baby weight! I hope I have an experience like you! Take care and keep doing what you're doing, cause it sounds great!

    Having trouble losing weight

I think you're doing great! I haven't had my surgery yet so I can't speak from experience. I hope I do as we'll as you're doing!

Susie, I think that's great! It's almost a pound a day! What does the dr. say?

    Kind of freaking out

My heart goes out to both of you. I too am having all of those feelings, so you are not alone at all. My surgery is on the 30th. I'm just trying to keep busy and not dwell on the negatives. It's not easy, I know. Hang in there !

What can I expect right after surgery?

Thanks Pat. A truss sounds like a good idea. I'll have to remember to ask. My nutritionist gave me the diet info and the portions are in tablespoons, so I have an idea of how little it will be. The vomiting does scare me a bit, actually more than the pain. Just having an idea of what to expect...

Well Oct 22 is surgery day at last

Congrats on your surgery date! Mine is the week after. Excitement and apprehension prevail! I bet this week goes fast for you. Wishing you all the best!

What can I expect right after surgery?

My surgery is Oct. 30th and I want to know what it was like those first few weeks. I live alone and have been told I'd be fine. I just read some intense pain stories. I do have a high tolerance for pain. I have had 3 c-sections and am wondering if I'm being naive about the pain. I do know that...

    Pain. So much pain.

Susie, I hope you feel better. KBaker, what a story! I hope all for both of you! Take care, Pen

    All but one test done

I totally forgot about this! Sandie, my doctor requires one for all of his patients. For the most part he was checking to see if I had a hiatal hernia. Since I posted. I've had the endoscopy and I actually have a small hernia. They are supposed to fix it when they do my surgery...

    All but one test done

Thank you for the kind welcomes. I start my liquid diet on Sunday, the endoscopy is oct. 10, and I will be on the books for surgery the 18th or 19th.
