Glad you are back home and safe. Don't forget to walk as often as you can, drink as much water as you can stand, and don't be shy about using the pain medication. I'm wishing you a fast and pain-free (as much as possible) recovery, NanaG67!

Went in and had my 1st post-op check-up today. All is fine and I have lost 14 lbs since my surgery two wks ago. 21 lbs total. And now I've been okay-ed to eat FOOD again. Boy am I ready! All in all a beautiful day!! Let the journey continue!! :)

Welcome, Rich. It is hard for me as well to keep drinking all the time, and some days I fall a little short on the water requirements, but I just keep plugging. So just keep sip sip sipping yourself. Sounds like you're doing good.

Mary, you are doing awesomely with the walking. Keep up the good work.

Walk a lot, nap a lot, keep up with the protein for healing. Maybe after this week you will be ready. And stop worrying. Stress can only help to set you back.

Good for you, Kim. I am 14 days post-op myself.

I watched a friend lose weight after RNY and she went down way to far. She looked sickly. Its been 5 yrs now for her, and she has quit exercising and has gained about 30 lbs back. She of course thinks that she is fat again, but she is not. She looks so much better now. She looks healthier...

I agree with ROBERGNM. Try to dwell on the positives. You are an inspiration to us all!
