20+ years post-op :)

Here I sit nearly 20 years post-op, still going strong. Any others? Love to hear your stories. What does the future hold for us? Will we have issues as we age?
So far, I am doing well. I had my gastric bypass surgery in Tijuana Mexico. Experience did not come without many initial complications. I had 6' of intestine bypassed. I have been able to maintain my weight loss. Starting weight 285lbs, I'm 5'8" and 192lbs right now. I'm 52 years old.

I am 4 years out and statically average lol which I was going for. Lose 50-70% of weight the first 2 years? Check. Gain back 5- 10% of loss? Check. Which I hate!!!. But, I mqdd goals based on statistics. I have no reason to assume I'd be less ( or more) than average!! I know several people who did not lose as much as they hoped or gained back more than expected. I'm maintaining as best as I can. I can bike. I can hike. I feel better than I have in decades!!
