3 Weeks Post-Op

Today is my 3-week "surgerversiary" of my VSG. July 2, when I started my Pre-Op diet I was 310lbs. On surgery day I was 302lbs. Today I am 275lbs. That's 27lbs since surgery and 35 lbs overall. Non-scale victories include getting off all diabetes medications, half of my blood pressure meds, and the lowering of my CPAP pressure (hopefully on my way to getting rid of it). Clothes are fitting looser, belts are being tightened, and I definitely feel lighter on my feet.

I'm currently walking 2-4 miles per day and generally stretch it out further on the weekends to push myself.

I'm in the pureed food stage, which has been far easier to deal with than the liquid phase. I have one week until I start soft foods.

Things are going well. I'm anticipating a plateau at some point, but I know that is a natural part of the process. Weight loss is never linear. I'll just keep things on the straight and narrow with my food and exercise and I know I'll make progress.

I also want to say how much I appreciate this forum and all of you providing the camaraderie, support, and feedback. It's truly wonderful. Thank you!
