Hi All!!
Well it sure has been a while and I hope you all are doing great! I'm 7 months post op and down 58lbs. The new pic is from about 49. I don't have any new pics that don't include my knee incision.
Well the knee replacement surgery was on Nov 29th and it went well. Although I terribly underestimated the seriousness of it. It's no joke. My leg is swollen still and they tell me another 2 months it will be swollen. Yea 11lbs of swollen!
But I am doing the best I can. I have my followup with the surgeon on Jan 4, and expect to get pt script.
I also have been eating way too much but since I can't eat alit I think I'm ok. But the holidays will be over next week and I'm grateful.
Then it's back to business.
I think I spent 2 weeks crying, I was in terrible pain, could not get into my bed because I could not lift my leg and when hubby tried to help the pain was excruciating. So I slept on the recliner. But had a huge pity party for myself. My husband did not know what to do for me. Kept handing me food, I kept eating it lol.
Finally he said you have to get out of this house. Got a wheelchair and one day we went out just for a walk. I walked some and rode some
The next day we took a drive to long Island, did some thrift shopping and came home.
But as far as my bypass I'm so happy I did it. I have ALOT of jiggly, saggy, wrinkly skin under my arms. My legs and my belly but I'm totally ok with it. As I've said I dress very modestly. Always have.
Well I have to get my day started but wanted to drop in and say hey!
