A question for the women

I am pre op but I was wondering this same thing! And if like cravings got worse? I’d like to prepare myself now.

Unfortunately, I can't offer any help here. I had to go off my birth control pill before surgery since it wouldn't be absorbed properly after. So I started getting depo-provera shots which threw my cycles way off, I now only get it once every few months. I'm told it will likely go away all together (fingers crossed). So I've never really noticed any patterns to plateaus or cravings. This is a great topic though, hopefully other ladies can enlighten us. :)

Dose anyone else seem to plateau their weight loss during their menstrual cycle every month?
I'm noticing I am. Also I was irregular before the surgery now it's almost like clockwork.
Beautiful pic Ami!!!

I definitely do PMS. I don't lose anything the 5-6 days prior but then it's like a flush after it starts and weight drops. I think it's the water your body retains.

I use the nuvaring for the whole month and after 3 months I have a cycle. My doctor and I decided it would best that way since I have endometriosis and hormonal migraines. I will see him next week, and tell him about the surgery. He might be able to give me some insight about any changes.

I went for the IUD. First time with one. My bleeds were always heavy and painful and with no nsaids allowed after surgery I wanted an option that would help with the pain. I do get regular cycles still but with less pain and they are lighter.

I'm still mourning the loss of Ibuprofen!

That's great that the IUD helped with your cycles too. I may move to that when I get sick of going in for shots every 90 days.

I had an IUD for a few years and LOVED it! But then I started having pain with it, had my tubes tied, and only use the nuvaring to control my migraines. I honestly cannot wait for this portion of my life to be over so I can suffer through menopause and hormonal irregularities o_O:D

Hehe, ain't it the life?
