Acne

I'm having really bad breakouts on and under my chin. They range from very large to smalls bumps. They itch or hurt. I've tried benadryl cream and I'm starting to freak out. I had a similar breakout 3 weeks in but it went away and I had the most beautiful skin. Now it's back. Not sure what to do.

Yes I've been wearing a mask. On the days I work in the office, I wear a mask the entire time. My skin is oily. Things I've done to cleanse my skin in the past doesn't seem to work. I was thinking of getting a chemical peel to see if that helped. I just don't know what to do.

Yup another crazy thing 2020 has brought to us, it’s called mask acne. A lot of people wearing them For long periods get it. A chemical peel will help a tiny bit but it’s not going to solve the problem as long as we have to keep wearing masks. This happened to a friend of mine and with doing a few things she has managed to keep it under control. Here are my suggestions to clear this up
  1. Don’t wear make up under your mask
  2. Wash your mask daily, wear a disposable mask,
  3. Use Salicylic acid on your face.
The easy way is to get those pads from the store and wipe them on your face a few times through the day such as, Noxzema, Stri-Dex, Etc I have some in my handbag at all times you can keep a jar in your desk and have one for the house with you having oily skin that will actually help absorb the oily as well try this for a bit and see how it works. When this covid is done then spend the money and get a great facial and or chemical peel. There are other products and tools that you can use as well I just don’t know how involved you are with your skincare and I don’t want to bombard you with Info.

You have cystic acne, more then likely the things above are NOT going to help your skin. A chemical peel is also not going to help cystic acne. Cystic acne is very different then general acne. O recommend seeing a dermatologist.
