I joined this online support group in April 2026. I don't know the acronyms and abbreviations and definitions of so much of what is being posted and shared, so I asked AI to make a list.

Here it is for anyone who also wants to learn more, so you can better understand what everyone is saying in here.

If you are okay doing so, please use complete words when sharing your stories and experiences. As a newbie, I do not know what all of the abbreviations and acronyms mean. I want to read and best understand your posts and replies, so complete words will help me do that. Thank you !

This is a fair request, but I'd like to add that most bariatric acronyms are easily found on the internet. Still, they often throw me off, too, and I've been hanging out here for 20 years, playing catch-up these days. Maybe we should start a "glossary" post everyone can reply to and add on.
