Antibacterial soap

I am having my surgery on Monday. I was not given any special antibacterial soap at my pre-op appointment. And the only time anyone said anything about it was from the initial pre-op assessment over the phone. I have had 2 appts since then, and no one said anything about soap, so naturally I completely forgot all about it. I messaged my Dr, but I haven't received an answer yet, and since it is the weekend, I know I won't get an answer. Can I use just regular antibacterial soap or is it needing to be some medical strength?

I showered 3 times with Dial antibacterial soap in the 2 days before my surgery (my surgery team did tell me to do this). The surgery intake nurses at the hospital still had me wipe my entire body down with hospital strength antiseptic foam wipes (I'm sorry, I don't remember specifically what it was called). They will 100% make sure you're properly prepared before surgery either way. I hope this was helpful.

I don't have Dial but I do have antibacterial soap. I'll use that. Thank you so much for the input!

Before both bariatric surgeries my doctor had me shower twice a day for the 3 days before surgery with Hibiclens, an antimicrobial and antiseptic soap. Before my brachioplasty, that surgeon also had me use Hibiclens but just the morning of the surgery. I bought it at CVS and they also sell it on Amazon.
