Man the anticipation is killing me! LOL. I feel like from my final appointment until now is draaaaggging LOL. I just want to know what my insurance says and then Ill be ok and good with whatever date is scheduled for my surgery. I love coming on this page and reading everyone's experience and journey, it makes me get so excited. I keep calling my insurance company and checking to see if they received the pre authorization and they haven't. I think they know me by name now LOL.
I am trying to stay calm and keep busy!
 
I can remember being in the same situation ;) It's the not knowing if the surgery is approved, because we have all heard so many comments from people about surgeries being declined. I feel like the majority are approved so I believe you will be fine but your nerves aren't going to listen to me or anyone else until the insurance company gives their stamp of approval.

My insurance would send me emails to let me know when things were approved. I received one of those emails and went onto their site because I needed to see it with my own eyes. And I couldn't find anything. So I called the insurance company to confirm, but they couldn't find anything either! I was so frustrated, lol. They then told me the approval email I received was to let me know they received the request for surgery and they were now reviewing it. I thought my head was going to explode. But a couple of days later I received the official approval and could once again breathe.

Hang in there. You will be able to breathe again soon!

Anticipation!! Got that right. Our Northern Arizona Medical Center is starting to schedule surgeries as is my surgeon but he has more critical cases than mine. Anticipation!! When do I get THE call? Oh, I'm nervouse.

How exciting that your surgeon is starting to schedule & that you could get that call any time now! I'm thrilled for you. Here's to hoping for a call next week!
 
In Illinois they are also starting to do elective surgeries!. My doctor is in contact with my surgeon and she is requesting that I be one of the first bariatric surgeries (due to a few medical issues). I am hoping to have an appointment by the end of the month. Fingers crossed.
