Something I have noticed post-op... I get very cold, very fast. It has been cool in So Cal lately anyway, but my wife and I have noticed that my hands and feet get very cold, colder than hers do, which is a switch! My circulation seems fine in my extremities, which was my first worry. I also get VERY cold, when others just get a slight chill.

I am wondering if this is a side effect of the surgery, or maybe the significantly reduced calorie intake? Has anyone else experienced this?

I get the same way. I bundle up and have sweats under my jeans and I'm still cold. I dont want to say this the wrong way I think its because we are losing the excess fat and it used to insulate us..

I used to think that too... except that even after losing 29 lbs (That's my total after this mornings weigh in!), I am still prettt close to 110 lbs over weight! I have plenty of insulation left!

Yes - definitely get cold a lot more now. But, I don't have much insulation on me anymore!

I was cold for awhile after surgery for a few weeks but with this So. Cal. weather being cool i haven’t noticed

Me too! Another lady in my monthly support group too. At my 6 month check-up I asked the nurse about it and she said it will get better as the body adjusts to less insulation, but it won't go away. My family laughs at me because when I come in from the cold I head for the space heater and sit in front of it for a whule, even though it's 70 in the house! Additionally I'll wrap up in an electric blanket. Feels soooo good!
