Description
This dish tastes just like the warm, comforting inside of a lasagna without the heavy noodles and carbs. it's incredibly gentle on the stomach, packed with high-quality protein, and completely satisfying.
Ingredients (8)
- 8 oz Ricotta cheese (part-skim)
- 1 large Egg (beaten)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup Marinara sauce (no sugar added)
- 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded, low-fat)
Cooking instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a small baking dish or ramekin with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix together the ricotta cheese, beaten egg, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the ricotta mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish. Smooth the top, then pour the no-sugar-added marinara sauce evenly over the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the marinara sauce.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown on top. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
