When can we drink beer again, if we are able to get if flat? I am not saying I want to get drunk or be irresponsible just wanted to know my Dr is anti alcohol at all. I am not asking permission or Dr. advice I just wanted to know peoples experience and time line.

I have a glass of wine now and again, and it goes down fine, but 1 is definitely enough lol

I tried a cocktail but I wouldn’t recommend it!

The only alcohol I care for is beer! I do miss it, I used to split a beer with someone when I wanted one presurgery lol. Not a big drinker I just like the taste. I asked someone in my support group and they said about a year out was when they added a little back in. I am 11 weeks out and I drank an ounce the other night when grilling. I used one of the medicine cups I have around now to measure it. Tasted good, no ill affects. I let it sit for a few minutes before I drank it. Probably not enough to be flat though. I probably should make sure it's flat next time.

Hi Nicole,

Pre-op I had asked my nutritionist about ever drinking a soda again and she said to ask her again a year post-op. Then she said that she'd be more likely give me an ok for a beer at a year than a soda. I can't drink but believe me if I could, I'd take her up on that in March.
