Belly shrinkage

Hello,
I'm just shy of 2 weeks post gastric bypass surgery. When did you notice your actual belly to shrink? I feel my belly is huge although I'm losing weight. When I left the hospital I was 274 and I'? currently at 253. Surgery date was 4/24/19.

How old are you, Bella? I was 56 when I had surgery & my skin had already started to show it. So sags & bags were prominent & became more visible because they had become normal. When I was much younger I was obsessed with having a flat tummy & did 100 sit-ups every day. As I gained weight my belly got huge & as I lost weight my belly deflated & hung over my pannus like an apron. The loss of belly fat was immediate & steady. Most of it happened within my first seven months. But different people lose volume in different body areas. If I had had surgery 30 years ago I would have been able to tighten up. Now, if I wanted a flat stomach, I'd be looking at a panniculectomy.

I will be 42 on next Monday. My belly seem real bloated from surgery more than it was before surgery. I was just curious as to how long the swelling and bloated feeling lasted. Thanks for your reply

I actually came out of hospital 7lbs heavier after gastric bypass

Yes, everyone probably did. I weighed in at 266 day if surgery and 274 when I checked out. All the iv fluids and swelling from surgery. When did you notice your belly size decreasing?

At least your lossing. I've only lost 4 pounds and I'm always hunger. Not sure what s up. Dr says it's in my head

It took me one month for all surgery swelling to disappear.

Does anyone see that they have no weight loss after being 3weeks out of surgery.have to go back to doctors office. Supposed to have less then pounds.Don't know what to do
