First off, a milestone. I cracked 250lbs. I feel like such a petite little flower of a manly dude. The diet is going alright. Haven't been sick. I've found things that I like and got an air fryer for some reason. (Honestly, I wanted the dehydrator function on this model to make some fake nacho chips out of peppers. We'll see how that goes.)

A shirt that I bought at the beginning of the school year but was in a tiny, unfamiliar sizing system now fits, and I wore it to my last classes on Friday. It's a profoundly obnoxious shirt. Lots of rubber duckies all over it. I am so in for the dumb shirts. Sadly, the Boogaloo Boys have made Hawaiian shirts somehow even less acceptable, and so I'm looking at obnoxious bowling shirts so as not be mistaken for a white supremacist trouser dumpling.

I agree, I have seen like taking the mini peppers slicing them long ways and filling them with toppings.
But, with the dehydrator it seems you are making like a crunchy chip out of the pepper?
Both of which sound delicious.
Give us more details!

You can be the trendsetter with your Hawaiian shirts to show that not every Hawaiian shirt wearing flower dumpling is an ignoramus lol. Way to go!

Is this a thing? lol

Because of you I spent way too much time researching the Boogaloo Boys hahaha. Thank you

So, my follow up shirt was also on the small side. Buttonable, but I'm not quite there yet. We'll see about the next shirt, which is very obnoxious, if I do say so myself. The only way it could be more obnoxious would be for it to not fit.

You know I have had the worst time trying to find shorts this year. At 63 years wearing short shorts is not trendy in my opinion. I miss my shorts from last year, way too droopy now.

I'm wearing suspenders just to keep my ass covered, if you will pardon the reference to my ass, and also the second reference to it. But the new clothing is a not-unexpected expense but one that I had not fully taken into account. But at least I'm getting fun clothing out of it. For instance, I eagerly anticipate the 50's retro style shirt that coming and my rubber ducky shirt is the talk of Paris. In much the way I imagine the guillotine or "the Neapolitan Disease" was in ages past.

An update on dehydrating peppers so they become chip-like. You will need to cut them big, I think. Likely quarters. They tend to curl inward when they are dehydrating, so strategic cuts might be in order to keep them flat. I did about 6 hours yesterday, and while they were more dry, it was not complete. Because I'd rather not run an appliance like that while I'm asleep, I put the end product in the fridge and will continue today after I finish work. They may be nachos tonight, there may be sadness, but, by god, there will be ground meat and cheese.

I love that rubber ducky shirt!

Me too! Can't wait to find out the end result of the air fried chips! I've been buying roasted okra in the healthy snack section of Kroger's and wondered if I could do something similar in the air fryer. These are beyond delicious.

Well, I have mixed results for the dehydrated nachos. They just don't get close enough to chippy; I think they will remain somewhat chewy, which makes the topping slide off when you bite into it.

Not that the chips are much more than a topping vehicle in regular nachos. :) Man dehydration really, really shrinks the suckers to about a 6th their original size. Quarters just got too tiny. I might be going to try halves and see what that looks like. Also, green peppers are... not my friend it turns out. They dried out way quicker than their more colorful buddies and tasted like charred dog fur.

Just dehydrate longer, they will eventually dry out. Peppers have so much water in them, they would take a very long time I imagine.
