Cannabis?

I dont know if this is allowed or have been asked. I did look but couldnt find one. Does ANY one partake in cannabis? If so, after surgery does it effect you differently? When were you able to smoke or ingest again? Wondered if those that use it for pain. Could you suck on a piece of hard candy and not get sick if you dont chew and swallow?

I partake of cannabis. I have an esophagus that will only stop spasming when I chew 1/4 dose of the caramel. Fortunately I've only had to take it a couple times a month. I haven't had surgery yet but none of my medical team has said anything about it.

My team said it's fine as long as i dont do nicotine products to smoke it with. But I was wondering the effects after surgery. Like if you smoke and choke does it kill you? Like with you. If you where able to eat a whole caramel now. Does your tolerance change? If so how. I heard people with alcohol say. They can barely have 1 drink now and they are way drunk

Good luck as you continue your journey. I do not smoke pot but in the program that I was in prior to the surgery they test for drugs and nicotine. If you test positive for either they bounce you from the program. For medical marijuana they look at it on a case by case basis as long as is it a legit prescription that could not be treated by other medicine. I have seen people in other sites an d Reddit mention why would you continue to smoke (anything) or chew tobacco after you make the step to make such a life altering change as WLS.
