Clearance

Ok so my surgeon told me that I need to get a clearance letter from my PCP. I was to have an appointment today but my Dr internet isn't working so she set me up with an appointment July 10 . 5 days b4 my surgery day. Is that cutting it close? To top it off it is with a fill in provider since my Dr will be on vacation. What if she doesn't clear me?!?!?!
Is this just a routine appointment and everything will be ok???

I don't feel comfortable seeing another Dr... I have such a great relationship with mine and am scared this lady will be against this type of surgery and not clear me. Or if she sees something in my blood work. IDK I'm so sad.

 

Hang in there, I'm sure it will all work out.

Call your dr, and have her/him talk to you over the phone about it. If your dr is on board, then the fill in dr is simply a stepping stone. Your dr probably is ready to clear you. My different drs have an online portal to send messages. If you have that with yours it’s another option for communication. Don’t get sad or down if there’s no reason.

Thank you so much Diane. Your really set my mind at ease and I needed that LOL. Its so nice to talk to people that have or are going through the same thing. My mom doesn't really know what to say but she sure tries. LOL . The journal thing is a great idea and all your advice I will be implementing that in my new routine!!!
Thank you so much for calling me a friend! I do love this group and it has helped me so much. I get in my head too much and overthink. (always have) . Who knows maybe the "new me" will work on that!
