The surgeon asked me what I want,sleeve or bypass.I have Google a lot,going toward sleeve,I am diabetic.I want some options.

From what I know if you’re diabetic the bypass is better . I was pre diabetic and my surgeon suggested the bypass I think most do. You can search around this site for other people’s opinions

Bill, I'm a diabetic with high blood pressure. My doctor suggested I have the sleeve surgery, so that is what I had in early January. Afterwards he took my off all diabetes meds. after the first week my early morning BS's are running between 107 and 123. And blood pressure in normal. That said, you may want to ask if there are other reasons for the bypass instead of the sleeve? After all he does this for a living and must have his reason.

Yeah all surgeons are different the sleeve and bypass probably work for diabetics but m not a doctor but mine suggested bypass . I did a little research and both surgerys are good for diabetics

I'm diabetic and had the sleeve per my surgeon. My blood sugar is high because I'm eating hot cereals, sugar free pudding, stuff that is full of carbs. I can add eggs tomorrow, as well as cottage cheese and ricotta cheese. It should start to go down, and further down as I lose weight.
