Still learning how to do this "eat at restaurants" thing. Usually, I'll order chili, mostly because there is almost no chance of it making an appearance later at the table. Honestly, I haven't been sick nearly at all, but it only happens when I am not preparing what I'm eating. Funk dat.

Eating out can be challenging, for sure. It does get easier. Early on, I would always look at the menu online before going and determine what was possible. Most places are great about making changes and substitutions. I have learned to always order my meat one level rarer than I actually want, because they always seem to overcook.

Be careful of ordering take out containers with your order. At denny’s one time the manager helping our waitress put our entire order in take out bag and we waited and waited for our food. When he learned of the misunderstanding our food was made fresh again and delivered to the table. We were not charged for the meal. But now I ask for container when meal is delivered.
