I am new to the program. My daughter had her Gastric Bypass about 9 years ago and is doing great. She share this site with me. Having the sleeve on Tusday May 8th. A little nervous but all excited!
Congratulations on making the choice to get the sleeve and to join our wonderful little group. Lots of great people here and great information too. I'm just a few weeks away from surgery, just a tentative date set, should be getting my 2nd consult with the surgeon any day now. Good luck with your surgery and keep us posted how things are going.

Well its been 5 days since my surgery and all is well! My surgery was great and the Doctors and nurses were great! I was prepared for a few rough days after the surgery because I good friend told me what to expect! I am still on total liquids this week which is fine because I dont have any desire for anything, (That sure is a change). Preparing for week two soon and would love some ideas for when I nave to do a soft diet week three!
Hi! Glad that everything went well for your surgery. suggestions for soft foods would be sugar free pudding, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, oatmeal (watery though), yogurt, I think tuna may have been one too, but not sure about that.
RMF-Congratulations on your surgery Did you get a list of foods for each phase from your nutritionist? If not then let me know and I will send you a PM with a complete list from the meal plans I was given. When you start the soft foods or even the pureed foods don't be surprised if you don't tolerate everything you are allowed to have. If this happens just fall back to the things that you were able to eat comfortably. Listen to your new stomach rather than the menu. It took me close to 4 weeks before I could tolerate pureed food and another 2 weeks to start soft foods. I'm at week 10 and still have problems with "regular" food, especially meat
Thanks for those tips, I start my second phrase this week and that is good to know! Yes my surgeons office really gave us some good information, step by step. I am having difficulty drinking though, every time I try to drink my water I get a pay up under my rib cage. The Doctors told my husband they repaired my hernia so it would be harder for me to drink until it heals. Also had having a hard time sleeping and very tired. Any advice?
