Date one week from today

Anyone out there have a date for next week. my date is march 7th. I am so excited, that’s all I’ve been thinking about. How long does a person stay in hospital having gastric bypass? One dr told me go in Tuesday and leave Friday yet the other dr told me out the next day.

It just depends from what I have read and witnessed the stay is usually between 24 to 48 hours. I hope you enjoy this time, use it wisely and heal quickly. Please stay in touch! This is a great group!

Hi Karen. I went home the morning after my bypass. My surgeon does not prescribe pain meds either in hospital or at home. Did fine. Was sore of course, but started walking outside slowly the next day.

Hi I was out the next day. Thank God because I did much better once I got home in my own bed in my surroundings. I had my surgery March 16 2022 I’m so happy for you good Luck.
