I had gastric sleeve yesterday. Was discharged today 12/7/2021. Just got on scales out of curiosity and I have GAINED 9 pounds! Can that much gain be caused by the gas? I’m in shock!

Probably postop swelling. Don't worry you will lose weight very quickly! Congratulations on your surgery!

Yes I gained 10lbs after gastric bypass!

I had to have 3 surgeries back to back and wound up gaining over 40 pounds of fluids!!! So much so I had to use a walker and my clothes and shoes didn't fit when I left the hospital. It did eventually pass and then I started my weight loss. Hang in there, you will eventually lose that and so much more!!
