I'm 4 weeks post op now I feel like I'm knot getting enough fluids at this point do you eat or drink because after you drink so much fluid you have no room for food I need a good schedule so I can stay on track I really don't want to mess this up..

Hi - my surgeon and nutritionist both stressed over and over that if you have to choose between drinking and eating, to DRINK.

If you can drink protein drinks, they count as both drinking and "eating". Be sure you choose a low calorie-high protein version, they are not all created equal. The ones I drink have 30g of protein for only 160 calories and 1g sugar. Make sure you read labels. If you need suggestions, ask this group, most folks here have favorites.

If you can sip on one or two of these throughout the day, it counts toward your hydration and provides nutrition as well.
