Discomfort with eating

I am 5 weeks out from surgery and trying to eat soft foods. Some days goes better than others. Today I couldn’t get the mushy cereal to stay down. When I eat I get a pain that must be the food moving. I stop eating at that point because I have never had that feeling. Sometimes I feel ok afterward and other times I throw up. This was revision surgery. Surgeon said that he has to totally redo what the other doctor did 9 years ago but I never felt like this and I feel like I struggle every day to eat. I know I’m not getting enough in but not sure what else to do.

Hi Candy, I'm Heidi and I am also exactly 5 weeks out from gastric bypass surgery. I am on soft foods and have pain sometimes. It gets better every day. I have seen both my bariatric team and my internal meds doctor since surgery and they say everything is ok and on track. I just assume it will get better.
