So, after surgery in February, I'm down 100+. I've clearly stalled, and I'm putting in cardio 3x a week for 20 minutes with a 100bpm or more. Made mixed tapes (well, mp3s) of the songs I listened to while working out in my youth and can say without hesitation that I am h*cking old. I've been between 219 and 225 (pounds, not years--that would be old) for 2 months. I have energy and optimism. I have a routine. I have a little diary. And a lot of dairy.

This is doable.
 
Excellent! My hubs had surgery the same time as you. He is petty much stalled as well. He has begun working put and loves it. Which did help him take off a few additional pounds. But honestly, I lost my weight within the first 9-ish months and that was it. Except for a bit of fluctuation.
I was wondering what the typical time frame for the bulk of weight loss is. I love reading posts from people farther out than I am. It’s motivating and also helps me stay realistic with my expectations!

The first year after surgery is known as the "honeymoon stage". Apparently this is when you will most of your weight. This is why they stress to stay focused and take advantage of it so you can maximize your potential weight loss.
My surgeon mentioned that I will lose most of my weight in the first year, although you can still lose after that it just isn't as effortless. He provided me a graph of monthly weight loss for an average person my height and start weight. I am far beyond that at about 8 months out I am 4 lbs away from what I was projected to lose in a full year. It only shows, everyone is different but again maximize and take advantage of the "easier" time in the first year and then keep pushing beyond that if you want/need to lose more weight!

Stay focused, stay on plan but be realistic! You can do it!!
 
I'm staying steady. Which is fine. I had hoped to break 200, but if not, that's cool. I think that the surgery (RYGB for me) makes fighting cravings easier, lets me get on the bike in a way that is not a joke, keeps me from going out and eating lord knows whatever I was eating before, it makes all of that achievable. And keeping to the scale keeps me honest with myself. So, I'm trucking along.
