Duodenal switch

Has anyone had the duodenal switch surgery? My doctor is leaning toward the modified duodenal switch for me. I like the fact that there is great long term success with it, but it is a newer surgery that I don’t know much about. Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone had this procedure?

There's been a lot of discussion about DS here. I'd want to know why my doc chose that, when RYGB and VSG have so much more to their science. It might be the right choice, but please, ask! Search the posts here, too. I don't think people have been happy they made that choice, but a few people have shared their experiences.

We aren't experts, but people here share real experience, and it's very helpful.
