I’m 5 months in....after having my gastric bypass surgery....and although I’m doing all that’s expected....like taking all of my supplements....eating small portions....and drinking plenty of water...along with trying to exercise.
I’m dealing with headaches....confused....deep gurgles in my belly...worst of all is smelly gas (excuse me for saying)
Open for any suggestions...PLEASE

Sometimes when I would have those symptoms I would check my irons levels. The gas will NEVER ago away but you can control it with what you eat. you will see the effects of what you eat and your gas reaction to it. Again, it even at 20 years it doesn't go away. If your mindful you can control it. Trust me , give it time and you will completely control how your body reacts to everything you put in your mouth. It's kinda cool to really pay attention to the internal happens not just the outside.

Sometimes, believe it or not you might need to eat a bit more of substance. Your poor body is trying to figure all this out. It's getting used to the new remodel so to speak! Everything's is trial and error at this point. What's good for other tummies may not work for you. For instance I went through a point where water actually gave me really bad gas and trips to the toilet.

well Diane as this will be my last post and because your always in every post you should know that surgery is a tool and negates everything y'all talk about.....everyone should be thankful that they have been able to have, share and experience what we have but quit belly aching about every damn thing. No wonder your single.....late

Well said. :)

And don't forget, this is the place to come to when you need to vent/rant/ask for advice. If I went to some of my friends and family with the things that are bothering me, they wouldn't get it. That is why this is called a support group. We support one another no matter how big or little the issue.

Jackie53, I am 5 months out as well but I don't suffer from too much gas.
I wonder if it could be the protein that you are using??
I cannot hardly drink milk anymore, even the Fairlife because that really upsets my stomach and that will make me gassy. I do get the gurgles sometimes though. I hate that. Luckily I work from home so I don't have to worry about it on a daily basis.
I am missing hot chocolate. LOL
I sure hope it gets better for you.

While it wouldn't be the same, you can try making the hot chocolate with water or you can try to use a chocolate protein shake (my nutritionist recommended this) to make it even chocolatier :)
