I had the gastric sleeve on August 28th. I've lost 110 pounds so far. The last three weeks or so have only seen about five pounds lost, mostly because of poor food choices and emotional eating.

I've got a couple of issues going on. First, I am losing a lot of hair over the last two weeks. My hair has always been thick and full, almost collar length. It comes out in enorrnously big chunks now every time I comb it. It's really feeling thin on top. Baldness isn't in my family. Dad, uncles and both grandfathers all passed with full head of hair. What's going on?

Second, I'm on my third day of not being able to eat well or drink. I can do two small bites 3 times a day. Any more and I get sick. And I'm only able to get down a half bottle water twice a day.

I have not been able to get through to my surgeon's office, probably short staffed for holidays. Any ideas?

Thank you. I forgot about walking. I live only two blocks from a city park with a paved walking trail. No bundling though. We have been having high temps in mid seventies, nice for outdoor activities. I will call doc again Monday.

Congratulations on your amazing loss! Sorry you're having some trouble eating and drinking the last few days. Do you feel like you're getting dehydrated? If you start feeling faint or shaky, please go to the ER for IV fluids.

Mid 70s? I'm jealous!!! ;)

Hey Roy I’m a guy with shoulder length hair too . I’m worried that I’ll lose a lot of my hair too.Guess that’s one of the prices we have to pay to have a healthy life. I think I might take Dianes advice and get kinda a punk cut hopefully not that short maybe you can do the same . I’ve been reading keeping up the protein and vitamins will help .Guess we’ll find out.
