I have been cleared to eat fruit and I have been craving it!!! Yahoooooo!!!! I bought a pre cut assorted variety pack and wasn't sure how much I can have. If I fill it in 1/4 cup it's like 2 grapes and one piece of mango. Is that too much or can i have more in everyone's opinion?

Be careful with grapes - sometimes the skins can be challenging to digest. I peeled mine at first. Now I just make sure that I chew them up really well. I would also say to be sure that you don't eat the fruit by itself at first; always combine things with sugars with protein. Your body isn't accustomed to the sugars any longer, so even natural sugar should be eased into so that you don't experience dumping. In my experience dumping is less of an issue with the sleeve, but I thought I'd toss the info out nonetheless! You are doing awesome by the way... I love keeping up with your journey!

I look at it more from a carbs and calorie perspective and not necessarily the volume of a fruit I'm eating since their density and sugar content can vary quite a bit. 5 grapes have 4 carbs from fructose/sugar and about 17 calories. Start small and see how you respond to it. Be mindful that carbs (sugars) and calories can add up quickly when eating fruit and sugars can lead to dumping syndrome if taken in too fast and in high amounts.

I might have 5 grapes in the morning as a side to my oatmeal prior to exercise. I might have 5 grapes later in the day, but I want to eat them with something else that will sustain my satiety, like some protein. I generally just don't eat fruit by itself.

And, as always, it's best to get the advice of a dietician/nutritionist as I am neither one of those and can only relate my own experience. :)
