Has anyone had a gastric bypass revision where the doctor does not adjust the pouch? I had this on 6/17 and recovery has been challenging. I haven't found much support for this specific type of surgery. Since my stomach was not touched, I'm still experiencing hunger but I'm having trouble satisfying it. I'm still on soft foods, but I have already pushed the food and eaten carbs with disastrous results. I spoke with my weightloss doctor and I might start a GLP-1, but I don't know if insurance will cover the cost. The surgeon would not predict weight loss and I finally understand why - this is very challenging in that the stomach can handle anything but the digestive track can't. There is no immediate feedback from my body telling me to not eat something.
