I had the lap band yesterday. Still kinda soar not not much unless I stand up. Then it kinda sucks. Has anyone had any trouble with the lap band?

I've had my LapBand for 15 years. I have had some trouble with it, but I initially lost 100lbs with it. My trouble started with taking Aleve. DO NOT TAKE ANY NSAIDS!!! If you don't know what NSAIDS are, look them up. They will irritate and swell your band shut. I was aspirating at night due to the pouch inflammation. It was miserable. Due to extreme stress and anxiety after adopting 3 kids from the state, I had to have all of the fill let out. I was so tense, that the tight band was causing me extreme stomach pain. I gained back all my weight plus 30lbs. Just listen to your body, go slow, and don't get it too tight.
I am working toward getting a revision to the gastric sleeve. There is another support group called LapBandtalk.com. It has been around forever, and they have long term members from all over the world. If you have specific LapBand questions, they may be a good resource. Good Luck!!! Don't get discouraged. There are many people that HAVE HAD GOOD success with the band. You can do this!!!
