Im new here,. I started my journey in april of 2018. by the end of the year i was ready to take the plunge and have surgery.....but found out i had only 5 doctor visits and my psychologist review was to old......so I got frustrated...Who wouldn't...right? After i calmed down i started over.....this january 23 is my 6th weigh in with my doctor. i have done everything over AGAIN. need the Hospital visit and i'm ready once again. Besides being overweight, the main reason i started this surgery process is i need a new hip..Im riding bone to bone. past all the bone spurs and everything else that comes with it. My orthopedic doctor said get down to 220 and he'll do my hip replacement. You know its hard to loose weight when you cant even walk 10 feet without being in so much pain, even my walker doesn't help. ive tried the walking bit...it doesn't work for me. And i oh so much want to just walk again, hike, heck even light jog...lol....There is no support groups close to me so I'm reaching out to all and everywhere i can find one... closest to me is 3 hours away.
