Here I go again

I had sleeve surgery in March of 2012. Did really well. Lost 150 lbs. Then I broke my left hip from a fall (2016) 9 months later a dog knocked me down and I shattered my right femur. (2017)

I've gained quite a bit due to lack of mobility. I have started the process to have the bypass surgery. Am I nervous? Yes. I honestly didn't think I would have to go through this again. I need hip replacement revision surgery and have to lose 50 lbs prior. With extremely low mobility, my drs agreed with me to do this.

I'm 59.

Wow sounds like you have had a tough road so far. I hope you will have a successful surgery. Please feel free to bounce any ideas & situations you are going through. You will find loads of helpful tips & nonjudgmental advice and support as you prepare for this. The archives might be useful too. Good luck!

Welcome to the group, Elaine. Both of those injuries are serious and come with mobility issues so I can see how the weight came back. There is no shame in having the bypass after you've had the sleeve. You're still trying, still striving for a healthy you and that's always something to be proud of.
