Hi, I will be known as Barbry. I am a retired nurse. I had lap band surgery in 2009. In the beginning I lost about 10 pounds. As the years have gone by I began to gain and lose and now gained 11 pounds. I sure need help!!!
Just to let you know I have had the lap bad for 3 yearsBarbry I had the same problem and I went back to see the doctor and we talked about the sleeve. On Aug. 26th I had the band removed and had the sleeve done and I have lost 20 lb. in 2 weeks . It was the best thing I ever had done. The band made me sick and everything came back up, I was told there was a lot of people who complained that the band didn't work like they thought on some people. Do the sleeve you won't be sorry.
I have had my lapband for about three years. If I remember right, I just slid under the cutoff age limit...I think because I was relatively healthy and would like to say I remain that way though I am now 72 years old...I just wonder if I would still be eligible for further bariatric surgery. I think I will return to clinic. I don't know anything about sleeve surgery. Some of my eating issues are...a big sweet tooth though I still try to keep to low sugar and low carb diet, my portions could be smaller and a big problem is night time snacking. Boy, I sure hate to think I'd give up, but I am dangerously close. I need more aerobic exercise but my husband and I still enjoy sailing and kayaking...winter sports are not so easy for me...maybe I just need to be pushed a little.Just to let you know I have had the lap bad for 3 years
