Wanted to introduce myself! I am almost 6 months post RNY. Have had absolutely no side effects which is good and bad. My post surgical weight loss has been slow but if I count since last July 1 when I started the supervised weight loss I am down 80 pounds which is fabulous!

Hi Nancyc, Welcome. Your doing wonderful, congratulations. Ther are a lot of great people here for support. Have you experianced any dumping yet? It took me about 6 months before I found my dumping foods Keep up the good work. Tom

Thanks so much for the welcome. I have not really experienced dumping. One time I thought I MIGHT be dumping but it passed in about 20 minutes so I don't think it really qualifies. What I am thrilled about is - - - no more diabetes worries, blood pressure is 119 over 69 without meds, no more Nexium, no more cholesterol meds and I have so much more energy. I still have far to go but so far this is the best decision I have made for myself in YEARS!!

Nancy-Welcome to the forum. Looks like it's nothing but great news all the way around. Great job on the weight loss and positive attitude!!! I was taken off my metformin in the hospital. My PC did some blood work last Thursday but said I needed to stay on the rest of my meds for now. I also use a CPAP. I hope to be off the CPAP and some of my meds within the next 6 months or so.
