Home after surgery

Happy to be home after a very successful surgery. My surgeon said that the procedure went perfectly and without issues because I was an ideal patient. I was walking the hallways two hours after surgery and sitting upright in the recliner. I had no incision pain afterwards, only discomfort from the gas. I walked the hallways several times because it instantly relieved the gas pain. My surgeon and the nurses were very impressed by my quick recovery. I didn’t sleep much because I would wake up every two hours with a full bladder or wakened by the nurse for IV medication. I can’t wait to get a good nights sleep in my bed tonight.

I was released the same day (I was self-pay) and walked around and around my house afterward. I think that contributed to my having little pain. Or maybe I just got lucky.

I got up once from 4:00am to 5am with gas pain. I walked around the house and the bubbles popped right away. I slept 11 hours!
