How to make 32 people very mad at you

First I know this has nothing to do with anything.


This is the first day of payroll in to the new bank. Well the payroll company put in the wrong number. Happy to say this was not me as I had to send them a voided check would not let me type in. I asked why not I was told so I do not make an error.

Well, as said before today is the first payday in the new account. Well the payroll company put in the wrong account number. You guessed it no checks would cash, no direct deposits went in.

So I have 32 people calling and very mad at me. (I get it) I have been now working on this for hours. to find out what happened. Had to pull out cash and cash pay all of the staff so they still got paid on payday. Some are so nice but some are still acting like I did this for fun. Well NOT Friday is my late night work from 5am to 8pm. Well am taking a min to chill (on here) now at 6pm I can start my last 4 hours of work that need to be done. Yes this was just for fun.

Kathi, I get why they are mad some people have deductions out of the bank account. Now they have to run to the bank, for some the bank was not open by the time I could get them money. Some people do not drive so I did drive around town to get them cash. I want to say this was not me but I am the one they see so that is just how it is. If I was a drinker I may have one today but I am not. The nice people make this okay. I still have a few whom I have to go to pay tomorrow. I one man I will pick up and 9am take to the walmart let him shop and bring him back home. His normal is to go to walmart cash is check and do his shopping take the bus home. He was more sad than mad. Once I told him I would pick him up pick a time he is so happy and now said he will pray for me. :)
 
Everyone is paid and happy. Had a great day should do something like this more. Nice to see and spend time with staff not at work. I now know more about some of the staff. even had one offer to take my husband and I fishing. We had a boat and fished a lot in Wisconsin. Who knew we can fish in Tucson. Will not be the same but going to give this a try. (this was a very new staff to us about 2 weeks)

What a great attitude you have! You will likely do very well with this group and with the bariatric surgery process, with such a positive attitude!
