I’m back

I’m been away for awhile. I had really gotten into a bark place. With COVID and job stress, and continue knee issues.I’m going into 3 years of my gastric sleeve. I was 376 before surgery. I down to 265, and have stalled. Not being able to walk or do any kind of excuse. The pain I was having in my knees was so bad, I kid you not I had thought about suicide.
Well we got the knees functioning some what. So I can start walking a little. But I’m come back to
The group because I need a support system. Everyone on this site was just great before. I’m ready to get back
In gear. I still 70 lb to lose before they will replace my knee. I have clean my refrigerator out of all of stuff I had no
Business trying to eat. I just didn’t care. I need this group to kick my butt.

I'm sorry too, but welcome back! Butt kicking is not my specialty, I am more of a chin lifter, I think.

Don't beat yourself up for past mistakes, be proud of yourself for your efforts and what you are currently doing, like cleaning out your refrigerator, that is a HUGE start!

Coming back to the group and talking about it is an AMAZING step in the right direction! You've got this. We are here to help you.

Welcome back to the group. It's great that you've lost so much and kept it off. It's insane how bad arthritis can actually get. My mom is almost immobile due to her knees, so I understand what you mean about being unable to move due to the pain. I think it's horrible that they won't replace your knees until you get to a certain weight. I understand it's for the best outcome for you but damn! I don't think they understand the despair that chronic, severe pain can cause. So I'm glad that you're back and have yourself a plan.

Now for the ass kicking ;)
Are you weighing/measuring and tracking your food yet? If not, that is a great place for you to start, once that fridge is clean.

Welcome back nicelady! If it makes you feel better, I need a kick in the butt too. I've been sidetracked bigtime and need to catch this before it gets out of hand. I went away for a few days for some R&R by myself to visit my sister and have some time to think. One of the things that I had to realize is that I can't let the stress of uncontrollable issues of some family members derail me. Not saying it is their fault, it is mine for not rising above it. My first step was to give my daughter some tough love. Now it's time for me to give myself the same. Maybe you will join me?

As for the knees, I totally sympathize with you. I had both knees replaced at age 50 & 51. (I am now 67) I know how painful it is. I was told at age 40 I needed them replaced but was too young. Please do yourself the favor and lose those 70 lbs so you can have the knee replacements. Believe me, you will thank yourself later.

If you aren't already doing this, try some chair exercises. There are plenty of them on YouTube. That will give you some exercise while it is hard for you to do walking, etc. And I totally agree with Missy to track your food. Go back to basics. You can do this!!

Remember we are here for you. Reach out to us as much as you need to. So glad you found your way back. Good luck!!!
