Hello all,
I am over 7 years post-op, I did hit and held my goal weight for over 5 years. Well June 17 this year I was rushed into emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer (don't recommend ever going through that). While I was in the hospital I thought back over the years. I did well but started to regain the weight back slowly due to meds this surgery started me back on full liquid for two weeks. That was hard now on pureed so in short back on the post op gastric bypass diet I forgot how hard it was having not done it in years. I vowed to myself to get back to my healthy weight again. However I must admit I need help I need to talk to people that have been on this path that understand how hard it is people that can help me through the rough patches that have ideas about how to get through the rough times and people I can be there for when they need help or to cheer on. To find new recipes and new ways to deal with food. My family/support people have changed my boyfriend can eat anything and not gain and his boys keep eating...(not fair) I do the cooking they love my cooking but I need to figure out how to make meals we can all enjoy while I am on pureed part of my diet. So please any help to get me back on track would be very welcomed. Reaching out like this admitting I need help is scary.
