While my gastroenteritis was reviewing some of my past medical test results he brought to my attention that a while back when I was in the hospital for another issue I had a CT and they found a lesion on one of my kidneys. Which the radiologist said needed further review and an MRI, but no one told me. I am so worried now. I'm a glass is half empty kind of person and so my mind instantly goes to the worst of all senerios. I'll admit I'm a bit freaked out.
I don't know why my dr did not get this info. I know if she had she would have been all over it.
I know this will also put a hault on all my pre-op tests till we get answers. Delaying my gastric bypass surgery too.
I just want to lay down and cry right now. I've messaged my dr about it and now I'm waiting to know what we do from here.

Hi Buttercup7676,

I'm sad and sorry about this. I'm glad you reached out to your doctor right away. If you don't get a reply tomorrow, please call the doctor's office and let them know you need to touch base with your doctor...and why. Be real with whoever answers that phone, so they'll do right by you and make sure you get connected with your doctor soon.

I'm a big worrier, so I unfortunately know all about freaking out when we get news like that. The waiting is so hard. Please try to focus on other things as much as you can, knowing you're going to talk to your doctor and get your MRI as soon as you can. I am hoping and praying that you get answers soon and everything is absolutely okay!

We are here for you! Please be persistent, so you get your MRI, conversation with your doctor, and your answers soon!

That is a LOT to have thrown at you all at once, so your fear and anxiety are completely understandable. Try not to jump straight to the worst-case scenario before you have answers. Kidney lesions can end up being benign or something that just needs monitoring. Right now the hardest part is the waiting. Even if this delays your surgery, your medical team finding this now means they can properly look into it and make sure you’re taken care of first. One step at a time.

You’ve been such a kind and supportive presence in this group, so I hope you let other people support you now too. Sending you lots of positive thoughts while you wait for answers.

Thank you so much for all the supportive words. My dr messaged me back and has sent over the information to get an MRI done. I now am just waiting for them to call me to schedule.
