I need HELP!!!

Hello, I am new to this forum. I had gastric bypass surgery, May 24, 2010. I have lost all my weight, and in that respect I am very happy. But lately, I don't feel good. I feel like my blood sugar dips too low or something. I recently had bloodwork done, and that was o.k. I have had alot of allergies too, I just feel like lately I don't feel well most of the time. I am taking all of my supplements. I do drink quite a bit of coffee, could this be making me feel bad? I need feedback!! Thank you so much, grateful1962

Grateful-first of all congrats on your successful weight loss and welcome to the forum. It sounds like you did the right thing by having blood work done. As long as you have seen a medical professional and discussed ALL of your symptoms truthfully then that's all you can really do. Wait a while and go back to the doctor if you still don't feel like you think you should. In the meantime, please lay off the caffeine, all of it! You are not supposed to be having it because it promotes dehydration and can also make you feel jittery. Also, make sure you are staying hydrated with non-caffeinated, non-carbonated, sugar free beverages like water, crystal light and / or vitamin water. Carry your beverage of choice with you wherever you go. Take it in the car with you and keep it next to your bed too. Some think water is the best choice but you should discuss other options with your dietitian. The important thing is to keep yourself hydrated. I am still pre-surgical but have met with my dietitian twice already and have my second consult scheduled with my surgeon on 1/5/12. All of my pre-surgical testing is complete and OK. Sometimes I cannot get enough fluids in me so I am practicing now, before I have surgery.

Grateful-hope you are feeling better. Please come back to visit us often so we know how you are doing. If you don't feel comfortable telling everyone your starting weight, current weight, name, rank, serial number or sharing your medical history then please don't feel compelled to do so. Thank God, it's certainly not mandatory *lol*. Hope to hear back from you.

Grateful1962, Please remember life moves on and we have plain old thin people troubles. I`m trying to say that as nice. We lose weight and feel so good then get sick again. I wish you good health go back to the doctors. Please go to another if the one your going to don`t find what`s wrong. Sam
