Surgery, if approved, won't be until

  1. Complete a 16 week program
  2. Lose 5% of my body weight
  3. I do have a co-morbidity, CHOLESTEROL, which means my BMI only has to be 35 to qualify. Which also means I STUPIDLY packed on an additional 6 pounds INTENTIONALLY for nothing. facepalm Seriously, I'm kicking myself. Who does that? What was I thinking?

But the good news is, I've set this plan in motion and it has a strong forward momentum. Good thing I love to-do lists because the one for this surgery is a doozy!

But istead of thinking that it's bad that I'll have to wait an additional month or more and surgery May not be until early summer, I see this as a great opportunity to get started on my weight loss and get my BMI down to 35 before surgery.

Dare I say I feel HOPEFUL for my future for the first time in a very, very long time.

That's great you have your list of "to-dos"!! And don't sweat the 6 pound intentional gain, most of us would have gained at least that much through the holidays if it hadn't been for surgery. ;)

16 weeks will fly! I'm thrilled for you.
