Just had vsg yesterday. Was so sleepy couldn't stay awake managed to void bladder and walk partial was down hall. Nighttime was horrible again I can't stay awake for longer than 10 mins. They say daloted or however u spell it. But ice goes down great lukewarm broth is amazing but when I sip water it hurts not sure why that's different from the broth. So another bi@&! I have the guy across the hall does nothing but scream and yell!! I get up to pee just fine but the tumtum does hurt both inside and out

It will get better, you just had a major surgery and on top of eat barely eating any calories. Your body is exhausted and needs time to recover.

Thank you for that I'm normally a tough cookie but maybe since I can no longer eat cookies I'm struggling!!!!

The Dilaudid will definitely make you sleepy on top of recovering from the surgery. You will feel better when you get home and off the narcotics. My stomach tolerated the warm broth so much better than cold liquids after surgery, as well. Hang in there!
