Introduction- 4 years down!

Hi everyone! I am new to this site and I'm so excited to be part of something amazing! Next month will be 4yrs for me, still down 150lbs, yay me! I had Gastric Bypass Roux-en-y and it was truly the beginning of a new life for me. I am 41yrs old with an amazing husband with 4 wonderful kids! My journey to surgery began in 2014 with many appointments with my surgeon, numerous sessions with a Nutritionist, too many to count weigh in's, the dreaded psych exam and the 2 week pre-op liver cleansing (which I never thought I'd survive.) However, it was all worth it, I finally arrived to the hospital for my much anticipated surgery. This day was the beginning of a new life for me, I actually found life again. I was once again blessed with what its like to feel confident, beautiful, radiant and strong. Though my journey wasn't always easy it was worth every moment to ultimately regain me. It's absolutely amazing to be healthy again, look great again and it has added so much back into my life that I truly feel surgery saved me. I didn't realize just how depressed and unhappy I really was. I was fortunate enough to be blessed with so much support from others, especially my husband. (This journey undoubtedly effects your loved ones.) He was amazing, he stuck by me when I doubted myself, felt like I couldnt do it anymore, the pain and my many tears, he always picked me up and reminded me what I was fighting for!
I look forward to many great post, advice and talking to others that can truly relate to our unique journey!

Thank you Brenda! I really appreciate that! How have you been doing on your journey?

I'm doing great so far, thanks for asking! I'm down over 95 lbs in a little over 7 months. I'm hoping to reach my goal weight by my birthday on October 5th. But even if that doesn't happen, I'll be thrilled with how far I've come. :)

12/18/2018 Highest Weight: 290
03/11/2019 Surgery Day Weight: 264
07/26/2019 (Friday) Weigh-in: 194.4
