Hi,
Im new to this forum. Im 36 month post op from having my gastric bypass. It was a rough two years but the last six month have been great until today. Ive developed a severe burning gnawing pain in my upper abdomin, diaherra and a low grade fever. I hope this goes away quickly as fast as it came on.
As anyone experienced this?

This could be some kind of flu or it could be something serious. Did you call your doctor? That's the first thing people should do after bariatric surgery, if something gets weird in your abdominal area. I can't recall anyone talking about having a GB-related problem like this 3 years after surgery. But it sounds serious & I would not hesitate to phone the doc, or, since you describe it as "severe," showing up at the initial care/ER in my town.

Thank you so much for your reply. I did call my GP this evening and she suggested clear fluids for three days and and to try the gasX again. And if my fever goes up to go to Urgent Care.
