is it normal that clothes feels like a rash on my scars a almost week post op?

i’m 6 weeks after my surgery and i have to have my stomach out in order to not feel them like have a rash? I look at them and they are for sure healing fine, they is some bruising but is it normal that i need to have my stomach out? and if so what did you guys do for wearing a bra?

Yeah that “rash” feeling is pretty common, it’s more like nerve sensitivity while things heal, clothes can feel super irritating even if the skin looks fine. Loose, soft fabrics help a lot, some people put a thin gauze or soft layer over the area so nothing rubs directly. For bras, go wireless and stretchy, more like a soft sports bra or even a tank with built in support for a bit. It usually settles down over time, but if you see real redness, heat, or swelling then get it checked.

I wore one of those wraparound sports midriff supporters. Once it was on, nothing bothered my sensitive areas.
