My name is Melora. I am having gastric bypass in one week. My Nissan came undone and my stomach is not working well so this is to fix it. I am petrified and excited. I have been lurking for a while and love that there is always an answer when I have a question.

I'm also not sure what a Nissan is but could it be a lap band that came undone?

I had a Nissan "Fun"dalaction done several years ago. That is where they take your stomach and wrap it around itself and staple it to hold it. It is not for weight loss it is for stomach & esophagus issues. The staples came out and the stomach came undone. To permanently fix this they are doing gastric bypass. It was easier to go through with the full program then fight the insurance on "medical necessity" so I have be doing the same 6 mos, Psy eval etc.

Yes, it does make perfect sense. Rather than go back in and staple your tummy back together, they are going to cut your stomach down to a small size permanently with a gastric bypass.
