Laparoscopic sleeve

I am new here as well. I've been considering surgery for 3 years, but couldn't pull the trigger. I'm 56 now and have little hope to lose the weight myself. My sister has had a few bariatric procedures and I don't want to go through what she went through. I recently had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and it went very well. Back to work in less than a week. So well that now I'm considering the sleeve by laparoscopy. Could it be that simple? I realize it will have to be a lifestyle change, but I feared the surgery, re-surgeries, and complications the most. How hard or easy was it that had the laparoscopic sleeve?

Welcome to the group!

While I haven't had a hysterectomy, I think there is more to it with gastric sleeve because you need to go easy on your stomach while it heals. You will still need to eat of course and you will have several different stages of eating during the healing process. So I think there is more aftercare. But, having laparoscopic surgery is much better than open surgery with a quicker recovery time.
