Welcome! I was nervous about that stage too. One thing I learned during this process is that it's easy to spend a lot of time worrying about steps that haven't happened yet, only to find out they weren't nearly as difficult as I imagined.
The pre-op diet can be challenging, especially during the first few days as your body adjusts, but everyone's experience is a little different. Some people feel hungry, tired, or get headaches initially, while others do surprisingly well. Your bariatric team will give you specific guidelines, and it's important to follow their instructions since the pre-op diet plays an important role in preparing your body for surgery.
Try not to let worries about the week before surgery take away from where you are right now. Focus on the next step in front of you and trust that you'll handle each phase as it comes. Many of us were anxious before surgery, and we got through it one day at a time.
You've already taken a big step by starting the process. Before you know it, you'll be sharing your own experience with someone who is just beginning their journey.
