Hi Everyone!

Just found the site and wanted to introduce myself. I am a Correction Officer and Breast cancer survivor (9 yrs cancer free!). I have completed all the classes and preliminary screenings and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass Nov 13, 2014. I am looking forward to this new beginning.

WELCOME to the Forum, Charlene!!!

I remember right before my surgery, I was so excited and yet scared at the same time. Bariatric surgery has been such a positive experience for me, it has changed my life. Even though I have more weight to lose, I feel like a new person and enjoy life to the fullest!

My helpful hint to you is to eat very small amounts at a time after surgery so you don't stretch out your new tiny tummy. My surgeon told me that my new stomach was only able to hold 2 oz in the beginning.

Wishing you the best of luck!!! :)
